That's a really nice trip. I always meant to get to know a little more about BC; Kelowna has a great climate, eh? (as they say in Canada)

Montreal has a terrible climate but the best bars!
What was the price of "gas"?

Our Canada holiday was in two chunks. We drove around BC in a 22ft camper van for a week and a bit (Vancouver - Whistler - Cache Creek - Clearwater - Wells Grey Park - Hope - Vancouver) then flew over to Ontario and stayed in a relative's house in Barrie while we explored that side of the country (museums, lakes, theme parks, etc.)

In part this visit was a kind of second honeymoon, but with children. When we got married 13 years ago we did about a week in and around Toronto visiting relatives, then two weeks or so in the west. That was a broader trip and included both Kelowna and Calgary, as well as Vancouver and Vancouver Island etc.

There's certainly a lot to like about Canada. In general I prefer the mountains and wilderness of the west, although I'll admit I have never been to the French east which might change my mind a bit.

Sounds like a good choice. I like cars that do 60 odd miles per gallon. BTW: where'd you get in Canada? I've lived in the west (Kelowna, BC), the middle (Calgary, Alberta) and the east (Montreal, Quebec). They say "west is best, east is least", but I liked Montreal the most.
