  1. I recently saw one of the JavaRebel developers give a presentation on it at the TSS Java Symposium. Apparently it’s still rather slow, and only usable/tolerable for development purposes right now.

  2. JavaRebel is a development tool but we are planning production support.

    The extra ms overhead won’t be noticable in development mode. The idea is that once you recompile your class(s) you don’t have to redeploy. So it is the redeployment/restart time vs <1s JavaRebel reload.
